INDIANA — A 19-year-old Williamsport man is facing multiple charges after leading police on a late-night pursuit through three Indiana counties, according to the Indiana State Police.

The chase began around 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 when a trooper spotted a 2025 Honda Civic on State Road 25 near County Road 275 South. The vehicle matched the description of a car that had fled from Lafayette Police earlier in the day. When the trooper attempted a traffic stop, the driver refused to pull over and sped south on State Road 25.

State police say the suspect continued onto County Road 350 West and then onto several rural roads, with the pursuit crossing Tippecanoe, Fountain, and Warren counties. The chase ended when the Civic slid off the roadway and became stuck in the snow at County Road 1000 East and County Road 450 North in Warren County.

Troopers believe the driver was under the influence at the time. The teen was arrested and faces preliminary charges including resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, operating while intoxicated endangerment, possession of marijuana, operating under the influence of a controlled substance, reckless driving, and minor in possession of alcohol.

He was taken to the Tippecanoe County Jail. Multiple agencies assisted in the pursuit, including state troopers, sheriff’s offices from Tippecanoe, Fountain and Warren counties, and the Lafayette Police Department.
