FLORIDA — An 18-year-old woman was killed Saturday night after her car collided with a tow truck on Florida’s Turnpike, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened just before 10 p.m. north of mile marker 291. A tow truck was merging onto the roadway from the shoulder when it entered the path of the woman’s Ford Mustang Mach-E, leading to the collision.
The woman died at the scene. The driver of the tow truck was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
