OHIO — An 18-year-old passenger was killed and a driver critically injured in a motorcycle crash Monday morning at the intersection of West Market and Benner streets, according to Tiffin Police Chief David Pauly.
Police say the motorcycle, carrying two people, was traveling east on Market Street when it collided with a vehicle heading north on Benner Street.
The passenger died at the scene. The motorcycle’s driver was flown to a Toledo-area hospital with critical injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was not visibly injured and was treated at the scene by the Tiffin Fire/Rescue Division.
The crash remains under investigation by Tiffin police with assistance from the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Names of those involved are being withheld until families are notified.
Chief Pauly said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
