VIRGINIA — Authorities are investigating a drowning that occurred Saturday, July 12, at Swift Creek Reservoir.
Chesterfield Fire and EMS SCUBA Rescue Team responded to the scene at 4:53 p.m. after reports of a missing swimmer.
After an extensive search, the body of an 18-year-old male was recovered from the water at 7:17 p.m. The identity of the victim has not yet been released, pending notification of family.
Chesterfield Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
