18-year-old dead following crash in Ohio on Thanksgiving

OHIO — The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred Thanksgiving afternoon in Carroll County.

The accident happened around 2:18 p.m. on Township Road 224 in Brown Township.

According to OSHP, a 2006 black Chevrolet Silverado 2500 was traveling east when it veered off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

The driver, identified as 18-year-old Ethan Pistory of Kensington, was pronounced dead by ambulance EMTs while being transported to Aultman Hospital.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Authorities have not released further details at this time.
