
KENTUCKY — An 18-year-old man from Laurel County has been arrested in connection with a shooting that left another man critically injured, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.
Zachary Setser, of East Bernstadt, was taken into custody on July 9 following an investigation into a shooting that occurred on June 26 at an apartment complex on American Greeting Card Road.
Deputies responded to the scene after receiving reports that a man had been shot.
When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was initially taken to a local hospital and later transferred to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in critical condition.
Investigators identified Setser as the suspect and learned the shooting reportedly took place during a disagreement between the two men.
An arrest warrant was issued, and Setser was charged with attempted murder.
He is currently being held at the Laurel County Correctional Center.
