KENTUCKY — A 17-year-old girl was grazed by a bullet in a shooting Wednesday night in Covington, and another teenager has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Police responded to reports of shots fired at the intersection of 13th and Wheeler streets at 9:36 p.m., according to Kenton County dispatchers.
The girl sustained what police described as a “minor” injury and was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, said Lt. Justin Bradbury, a spokesperson for the Covington Police Department.
Another 17-year-old, a male, has been taken into custody and is facing charges of assault, wanton endangerment, and criminal mischief, Bradbury said.
The investigation is ongoing.
