KENTUCKY — A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed early Saturday morning in the Portland/Russell area, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Officers were called to the 4100 block of Flintlock Drive around 3 a.m. on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found the teenager suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers provided first aid until EMS and PRP Fire arrived, but the victim was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
Police said there are no known suspects at this time. Investigators are working to determine what led to the shooting, a possible motive, and where the incident began.
