17 people arrested following drug bust in Pennsylvania

PENNSYLVANIA — Seventeen people are facing charges following the takedown of a drug trafficking ring based in North Philadelphia, according to authorities.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday said the arrests include the group’s alleged leader, 56-year-old Louis Alexander.

Law enforcement agencies executed search warrants at 30 locations across Philadelphia, Delaware County, and parts of New Jersey last week after what officials described as a years-long investigation.

Authorities said the operation led to the seizure of large quantities of illegal drugs, including cocaine, fentanyl, and various pills. Investigators also recovered cash and more than two dozen firearms.

Officials said the charges stem from an extensive investigation into the organization’s drug distribution activities in the region.

The case remains ongoing.
