SOUTH CAROLINA — A 16-year-old girl from Union County died in a weekend crash, according to local officials.
The Union County Coroner’s Office said the wreck happened around 9 p.m. Sunday. The victim, Skyy Edwards of Carlisle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol said Edwards was driving on Highway 72 when her vehicle left the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.
The crash remains under investigation.
