
OHIO — A fatal ATV crash in Jackson County, Ohio, claimed the life of a 16-year-old boy and seriously injured another teen, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the accident occurred Friday evening on Antioch Road, just outside Oak Hill, but was not discovered until Saturday morning when friends located the two teenagers.
According to investigators, the ATV left the side of the roadway, went down a steep embankment, and struck a tree. A 16-year-old male from Londonderry was pronounced dead at the scene. A 17-year-old male from Oak Hill was transported with serious injuries.
Troopers reported that neither teen was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The incident remains under active investigation.
