
NORTH CAROLINA — Sixteen people were arrested in a major drug bust in Alamance County following a months-long investigation into narcotics distribution, according to the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s officials said the investigation focused on identifying and disrupting organized drug activity operating within the county. As a result of the operation, deputies filed a total of 57 felony charges and 19 misdemeanor charges against those arrested.
Investigators reported seizing a variety of illegal drugs during the operation, including cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription medications, and fentanyl.
Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges could be filed as more evidence is reviewed.
