SOUTH CAROLINA — A Powerball ticket sold in Moore won $150,000 in Wednesday’s drawing, South Carolina Lottery officials reported.
The winning ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven Store #36843J on Moore Duncan Highway.
The ticket holder increased their prize from $50,000 to $150,000 by adding the PowerPlay option, which applied a 3x multiplier to the winnings.
The winning numbers for the August 13 drawing were 4, 11, 40, 44, 50, with the Powerball number 4. The $150,000 prize was awarded for matching four white ball numbers and the red Powerball, along with the PowerPlay multiplier.
More than 15,000 players in South Carolina won prizes ranging from $4 to $150,000 in the same drawing. Winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
The estimated jackpot for the next Powerball drawing on Saturday is $565 million.
