MICHIGAN — An Ohio man visiting Michigan for the day walked away $150,000 richer after winning a Powerball prize.

Donovan Reynolds, 68, purchased his winning ticket at Big Daddy’s Truck Stop in Ottawa Lake.

In the July 23 drawing, he matched four white balls and the Powerball (02-18-19-25-35 PB: 25), winning a base prize of $50,000.

Thanks to the Power Play option he added for an extra dollar, Reynolds’ prize was multiplied to $150,000.

Reynolds said he played his usual set of numbers and recently claimed his prize at the Michigan Lottery headquarters. He plans to put the winnings toward his daughter’s college fund.

Powerball tickets cost $2 each and can be purchased at lottery retailers statewide or online.

For an additional $1, players can add Power Play, which multiplies non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times. Drawings are held three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday evenings.
