15 teens, multiple guns found at Ohio hotel

OHIO — Police responded to a hotel on Tiffany South early Sunday morning after receiving complaints about loud noise and teens running in the hallways.

According to reports, officers arrived just before 1 a.m. after a hotel manager informed them that multiple guests had complained about disturbances.

The manager also suspected several teens were staying in a room without an adult and requested their removal, as the number of occupants exceeded the room’s four-person limit.

As officers approached the room, they encountered numerous teens in the hallways.

After some hesitation from those involved, police determined that 15 teens, ranging in age from 12 to 17, were staying in the room.

Since all were out past curfew without guardians, officers searched them before allowing them to leave.

During the search, a 14-year-old girl was found with a handgun in her waistband. When officers attempted to confiscate the weapon, she tried to grab it, according to reports.

She was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, obstructing official business, and resisting arrest.

Reports also state that another gun was thrown out of the hotel room window, along with an empty bottle of tequila. A second empty tequila bottle was discovered in the bathroom.

Additionally, a 16-year-old girl was arrested for obstructing official business after she allegedly misled officers about contacting her mother for a ride.

All of the teens were eventually released into the custody of an adult.
