OHIO — Police have arrested 127 people and seized 16 guns and $69,295 in illegal drugs as part of Operation Essex 3.0, a targeted effort in east Toledo.
The operation, which began on November 11, is the final Toledo Area Enhancement Method (T.E.A.M.) initiative for 2024, according to a press release issued Monday.
T.E.A.M. operations aim to enhance the quality of life for Toledo residents by addressing issues such as gun violence, narcotics sales, and neighborhood blight, while also engaging the community through safety programs and outreach.

This operation is part of an ongoing effort by Toledo police to address crime and improve neighborhood conditions.
Two previous operations in 2024 targeted the Lagrange corridor and west Toledo.
