TEXAS — A major drug investigation led by the 50th District Attorney’s Office has resulted in the arrest of 11 individuals and the seizure of over 15,000 grams of methamphetamine, District Attorney Jameson Brooks announced in a Facebook post.
The coordinated operation took place on May 13 and involved law enforcement agencies across five Texas counties—Wichita, Archer, Baylor, Foard, and Taylor—as well as authorities in Vale, Oregon. In total, 15,784.6 grams of methamphetamine were seized.
The suspects, most of whom face federal charges for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, were identified as:
- Gary Dewayne Berry, 31, Wichita Falls, TX
- Gregory Tyrone Berry, 31, Wichita Falls, TX
- Whitney Renee Wiles, 34, Seymour, TX
- Kelly Rena Goodwin, 47, Seymour, TX
- Laura Lee Ramos, 44, Wichita Falls, TX
- Jessie Manuel Ortega Jr., 28, Abilene, TX
- Lyndsi Michelle Nelson, 31, Seymour, TX
- Belinda Rajay Latham, 47, Seymour, TX
- Melanie Anne Willden, 47, Seymour, TX
Two others were charged under state law:
10. Ross Clay Keener, 66, Crowell, TX – charged with manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance (4 to 200 grams)
11. Nicholas Marco Anzalone, 47, Seymour, TX – charged with manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance (4 to 200 grams)
Anzalone was apprehended after a standoff in Baylor County.
Participating agencies in the operation included the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Seymour Police Department, Baylor County Sheriff’s Office, 50th District Attorney’s Office, Archer County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Wichita Falls Police Department, Wichita County Sheriff’s Office, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas.
