LOUISIANA — The Shreveport Police Department announced the arrest of 11 people Thursday, Jan. 15, following an operation targeting complaints of guns, narcotics, and outstanding warrants in the community.

According to police, the arrests stemmed from reports of illegal weapons and drug activity in the area. The operation resulted in multiple charges, including alleged drug distribution, illegal carrying of weapons, and fugitives wanted by local and federal authorities.

Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith emphasized the department’s commitment to responding to community concerns.

“This operation sends a clear message,” Smith said. “When our community speaks up about violence, guns, and narcotics, we listen—and we act. Through strong partnerships with our local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, we are aggressively targeting those who threaten the safety of our neighborhoods. If you choose to bring violence and illegal drugs into Shreveport, understand this: we will find you, and we will hold you accountable.”

Police identified those arrested as Richard Smith, charged with two counts of distribution of narcotics and one count of illegal carrying of a weapon; Zachary Glass, charged with resisting an officer, illegal carrying of a weapon, distribution of narcotics, and possession of a firearm by a felon; and Kameron Spearman, charged with resisting an officer and possession of marijuana.

Others arrested include Bobby McNeil, charged with distribution of narcotics, illegal carrying of a weapon, and being a fugitive from the United States Marshals Service and the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office; Marco Small, charged with distribution of narcotics; Malik Williams, a fugitive from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office; Deandre Sims and Thomas Jett, both fugitives from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office; Jacoby Foster, charged with distribution of narcotics and an outstanding warrant for domestic abuse battery; Eddreka Smith, charged with distribution of narcotics; and Shontiel Washington, charged with an outstanding Shreveport City Marshal traffic warrant.
