VIRGINIA — A Powerball ticket worth $100,000 was sold in Virginia during Saturday night’s drawing, lottery officials confirmed.
The drawing was held on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025. The winning numbers were 5, 20, 34, 39, and 62, with a Powerball number of 1. The Power Play option was 2x.
Officials said the Virginia ticket matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball number to win the $100,000 prize. Information about the location where the ticket was sold and the identity of the winner has not been released.
The estimated jackpot for the Dec. 27 drawing was $21 million, with a cash value of approximately $9.7 million. No ticket matched all six numbers to claim the top prize, allowing the jackpot to roll over to the next drawing.
Powerball drawings are held three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday nights. Lottery officials remind players to sign the back of their tickets and to check them carefully.
