SOUTH CAROLINA — A $100,000 Powerball-winning ticket was sold in South Carolina following the Monday night drawing held January 12, 2026, according to lottery officials.

The winning numbers for the drawing were 5, 27, 45, 56, and 59, with a Powerball of 4. The Power Play multiplier was 2x.

The South Carolina ticket matched four white balls and the Powerball and included the Power Play option, doubling the standard $50,000 prize to $100,000, officials with Powerball said.

No ticket matched all six numbers to claim the jackpot. As a result, the estimated jackpot increased to $156 million, with a cash value of $70.5 million for the next drawing.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday night. Players must match all five white balls and the red Powerball to win the jackpot, while smaller prizes are awarded for matching fewer numbers.

Lottery officials remind players to check their tickets carefully and follow state lottery procedures when claiming prizes.
