Winner: $100,000 Powerball ticket sold in Ohio

OHIO — A couple in Lordstown is celebrating a $100,008 windfall after winning a third-tier prize in Saturday’s Powerball drawing.

The winning numbers were 7-18-22-50-65, with Powerball 15 and Power Play 2.

The couple purchased their ticket at Lordstown Speed Check, located at 6565 Todd Ave.

Their ticket matched four of the five numbers plus the Powerball, earning them a $50,000 prize.

Because they also matched the Power Play number, their winnings doubled.

After mandatory state and federal taxes totaling 28%, the couple will split $72,005.76.

The winning ticket was selected using auto pick. The estimated jackpot for Saturday’s Powerball drawing is $272 million.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to education. More information about its impact on schools can be found at www.ohiolottery.com/supportingeducation.
