VIRGINIA — A Virginia lottery player is celebrating a $100,000 win after a Powerball ticket sold in the state matched key numbers in the drawing held Saturday, March 21, 2026.
The winning numbers were 12, 28, 36, 41, 59, with a Powerball of 2. The Power Play multiplier was 2x. While no ticket matched all six numbers to claim the estimated $123 million jackpot, the Virginia ticket matched four of the five white balls plus the Powerball and included the Power Play, doubling the standard $50,000 prize to $100,000.
The jackpot carried an estimated cash value of $55.8 million. With no grand prize winner, the jackpot is expected to grow for the next drawing.
Virginia Lottery officials have not yet released details about where the winning ticket was sold or whether it has been claimed. Winners are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket and contact the Virginia Lottery to begin the claims process.
Powerball drawings are held three times a week, offering players multiple chances to win prizes ranging from smaller payouts to multi-million-dollar jackpots.
