TEXAS — A $100,000 Powerball-winning ticket was sold in Texas following the Monday night drawing held January 12, 2026, lottery officials confirmed.
The winning numbers drawn were 5, 27, 45, 56, and 59, with a Powerball of 4. The Power Play multiplier was 2x.
The Texas ticket matched four white balls and the Powerball and included the Power Play option, doubling the standard $50,000 prize to $100,000, according to officials with Powerball.
No ticket matched all six numbers to win the jackpot, allowing the top prize to continue growing. The estimated jackpot for the next drawing increased to $156 million, with a cash value of $70.5 million.
Powerball drawings are held three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday nights. Players win prizes by matching select numbers, with the jackpot reserved for tickets that match all five white balls and the red Powerball.
Lottery officials remind winners to sign the back of their tickets and follow state lottery procedures when claiming prizes.
