ILLINOIS — An Illinois lottery player is celebrating a six-figure win after a $100,000 Powerball ticket was sold in the state for the drawing held Saturday, March 21, 2026.

The winning numbers for the drawing were 12, 28, 36, 41, 59, with a Powerball of 2. The Power Play multiplier was 2x. While no ticket matched all six numbers to claim the estimated $123 million jackpot, the Illinois ticket matched four of the five white balls plus the Powerball and included the Power Play, doubling the standard $50,000 prize to $100,000.

The jackpot carried an estimated cash value of $55.8 million. With no grand prize winner, the jackpot is expected to roll over and increase for the next drawing.

Illinois Lottery officials have not yet released details about where the winning ticket was sold or whether it has been claimed. Winners are advised to sign the back of their ticket and contact the Illinois Lottery to begin the claims process.

Powerball drawings are held three times a week, offering players opportunities to win prizes ranging from smaller amounts to life-changing jackpots.
