ILLINOIS — A ticket sold in Illinois won a $100,000 prize in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing, according to lottery officials.
The drawing was held on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026. The winning numbers were 15, 28, 57, 58, 63, with the Powerball 23. The Power Play multiplier for the drawing was 2x.
No ticket matched all six numbers to win the jackpot, which was estimated at $104 million, with a cash value of $47.0 million.
The Illinois ticket matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball. Because the Power Play option was used, the standard $50,000 prize was doubled to $100,000. The specific retailer that sold the winning ticket had not been announced as of Wednesday night.
Lottery officials advise players to sign the back of their tickets immediately and to check the Illinois Lottery’s prize claim requirements and deadlines before attempting to redeem a winning ticket.
