$100,000 lottery ticket winner sold in Ohio

OHIO — A Lorain resident is celebrating a holiday season to remember after winning $100,000 on the Ohio Lottery’s Winter Fun scratch-off game.

The winning ticket was purchased at Lorain Convenient Food Mart, located at 2221 42nd Street in Lorain.

After mandatory state and federal tax withholdings totaling 28 percent, the winner will take home approximately $72,000.

Winter Fun is a $10 scratch-off game with a top prize of $500,000.

As of November 25, two of the top prizes remain unclaimed.

The Ohio Lottery offers a variety of games to players and has contributed more than $32 billion to education since 1974.
