FLORIDA — A lucky lottery player in Central Florida is $10 million richer after purchasing a winning Powerball Double Play ticket at a local convenience store.
According to the Florida Lottery, the winning ticket was sold at a Circle K located on County Road 44 in Leesburg. The ticket matched the numbers drawn in Wednesday night’s Powerball Double Play drawing, making it the only winning ticket for the $10 million prize.
Lottery officials said there were no winners for the main Powerball jackpot in Wednesday’s drawing. The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, with an estimated jackpot of $75 million.
Two additional winners were announced in the Fantasy 5 evening drawing. Each will receive $61,924.98. One ticket was purchased at a Shell gas station on U.S. Highway 19 in Port Richey, and the other was sold at an S&D Food Market in Fort Pierce.
Florida Lottery officials have not yet released information about the $10 million winner.
