$10 million lottery ticket winner sold in Ohio

OHIO — A lucky lottery player in Cincinnati has kicked off 2025 with a life-changing win, claiming the top prize of $10 million on the Ohio Lottery’s Extreme Millions scratch-off ticket.

The winning ticket was purchased at Dent Shell, located at 6008 Harrison Ave.

The winner opted for the cash payout of $5 million and, after mandatory state and federal taxes totaling 28%, will take home approximately $3.6 million.

Extreme Millions is a $30 scratch-off game offering a top prize of $400,000 per year for 25 years.

As of January 28, one top prize remains in the game.

The Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to education since its inception in 1974.
