$1 million Powerball ticket winner sold in Ohio

OHIO — Although no one claimed the record $1.4 billion Powerball jackpot in Wednesday night’s drawing, Ohio Lottery players still took home thousands of prizes, including one ticket worth $1 million.

Lottery officials confirmed the $1 million winning ticket was sold at Sheetz in Canfield.

Two other major prizes were also claimed in the state: a $100,000 ticket sold at a Kroger in Toledo and another at a Meijer in Dayton.

In total, Ohio players won prizes at multiple levels, including:

• One $1 million prize
• Two $100,000 prizes
• Two $50,000 prizes
• 140 prizes of $200
• 339 prizes of $100
• 5,043 prizes of $14
• 56,385 prizes of $8
• 11,189 prizes of $7
• 128,492 prizes of $4

The winning numbers from Wednesday’s drawing were 3, 16, 29, 61, 69 and Powerball 22, with a 2x Power Play multiplier.

With no jackpot winner, the prize now rolls over to an estimated $1.7 billion for Saturday’s drawing, scheduled for Sept. 6 at 10:59 p.m. The jackpot has a cash option of $770.3 million.

According to lottery officials, the odds of hitting the jackpot are one in 292,201,338, while the odds of winning a $1 million prize stand at one in 11,688,053.
