NORTH CAROLINA — A $1 million Powerball ticket was sold in North Carolina following Monday night’s drawing, according to lottery officials.

The drawing was held Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, with winning numbers 6, 19, 22, 28, 48, and the Powerball number 24. The Power Play multiplier was 5x. While no ticket matched all six numbers to claim the jackpot, at least one ticket sold in North Carolina matched five numbers, earning a $1 million prize.

The estimated jackpot for the drawing was $113 million, with a cash value of $52.0 million. The jackpot will roll over to the next drawing since no grand prize winner was reported.

Lottery officials have not yet released the specific retail location where the winning North Carolina ticket was sold. Winners are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket and contact the state lottery to begin the claims process.

The next Powerball drawing is expected to feature an increased jackpot as excitement continues to build nationwide.
