GEORGIA — A Georgia resident won $1 million in the Powerball lottery after purchasing a ticket that matched five white numbers in Monday’s drawing, the Georgia Lottery announced.
Another ticket sold in the state won $50,000. The winning numbers for the drawing were 16, 19, 34, 37, and 64. The red PowerPlay number, 22, was not selected by the $1 million winner.
Winners in Georgia have 180 days to claim their prize. The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, with the jackpot now at $815 million.
