$1 million Powerball ticket winner sold in Florida

FLORIDA — The Powerball drawing held Monday night, January 12, 2026, produced no jackpot winner, allowing the top prize to continue growing.

The winning numbers drawn were 5, 27, 45, 56, and 59, with a Powerball of 4. The Power Play multiplier was 2x.

With no ticket matching all six numbers, the estimated jackpot climbed to $156 million, with a cash value of $70.5 million, according to officials with Powerball.

While the jackpot went unclaimed, the drawing did produce a $1 million-winning ticket, which matched the five white balls. That ticket was sold in Florida. The prize did not include the Power Play multiplier.

Two $50,000 and two $100,000 winners were also sold in Florida.

Powerball drawings are held three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday nights. Players must match all five white balls and the red Powerball to win the jackpot. Lower-tier prizes are awarded for matching fewer numbers.

Lottery officials remind players to check their tickets carefully and sign the back of any winning ticket.
