FLORIDA — The historic Powerball jackpot was finally claimed Saturday night, with winners in Missouri and Texas splitting the $1.787 billion prize, the second largest in U.S. history.
The only larger jackpot was a $2.04 billion prize won in California in 2022. The winning numbers were 11, 23, 44, 61, 62, with a Powerball of 17.
Each winner has the option of receiving an annuitized prize of $893.5 million or a lump-sum payment of $410.3 million.
Although only two tickets claimed the jackpot, millions of players won smaller prizes. Powerball reported that more than 9.9 million tickets won some amount Saturday night. One $1 million prize went to a ticket sold in New Port Richey at Circle K #7065, 5337 Little Road, Tampa Bay.
The jackpot reached historic levels because no top prize had been won since May 31, 2025. The 42 drawings it took to produce a winner set a record for the longest jackpot run in Powerball history.
The Powerball jackpot resets Monday with a starting prize of $20 million.
