$1 million lottery ticket winner sold in Ohio

OHIO — A lucky Ohio Lottery player has won the $1 million top prize on the VIP Millions scratch-off ticket.

The winning ticket was purchased at Sheetz #639, located at 1101 North Canfield Niles Road in Austintown.

The winner opted for the annuity payment, which provides $40,000 a year for 25 years before taxes.

After federal and state withholdings, the annual payout will be approximately $28,000.

VIP Millions is a $50 scratch-off game offering a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years.

As of March 14, 42 top prizes remain unclaimed.

The Ohio Lottery, which has contributed more than $33 billion to education since 1974, offers more information about its scratch-off games and educational support initiatives at www.ohiolottery.com.
