OHIO — A Canton couple has struck it big, winning the $1 million top prize on the Ohio Lottery’s VIP Millions scratch-off ticket.

Solomon and Nicole purchased their winning ticket at R & J Marathon, located at 2201 9th St SW in Canton.

After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 28 percent, they will take home approximately $360,000.

VIP Millions is a $50 scratch-off game offering a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years. As of January 23, 48 top prizes remain in the game.
