$1 million lottery ticket winner sold in Ohio

OHIO — A Doylestown man is the latest top-prize winner in the Ohio Lottery’s $1,000,000 Cashword Scratch-Off game after purchasing a winning ticket in Barberton.

According to the Ohio Lottery, the winning ticket was sold at Circle K #5594, located at 224 31st St. SW. The game’s top prize pays $40,000 a year for 25 years. The winner chose the cash option of $500,000.

After state and federal taxes totaling 27.125 percent were withheld, the winner will receive $364,375, lottery officials said.

$1,000,000 Cashword is a $20 scratch-off ticket. As of December 11, 2025, four top prizes remain available in the game.
