Ohio Lottery

OHIO — A lucky Ohio Lottery player in Wapakoneta is celebrating after winning the $1 million top prize on the $1,000,000 Cashword scratch-off ticket.

The winning ticket was purchased at Wapak Marathon, located at 1003 Defiance Street in Wapakoneta.

The winner chose the cash option of $500,000 instead of the annuity prize of $40,000 annually for 25 years.

After mandatory state and federal taxes totaling 28%, the winner will take home approximately $360,000.

The $1,000,000 Cashword game is part of the Ohio Lottery’s lineup of scratch-off tickets, which continue to provide players across the state with the chance to win big.

Since its inception in 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $32 billion to support education throughout the state.
