OHIO — A quick stop at Circle K #5576 on Brittain Road turned into a life-changing moment for one lucky customer, who won a $1-million annuity prize from the Ohio Lottery’s 50th Anniversary Millions scratch-off game.

The winning ticket secured the game’s second-tier prize, which offers $1 million paid out over 25 years in $40,000 annual installments before taxes.

However, the winner opted for the lump-sum cash option of $500,000. After federal and state taxes, she will take home approximately $360,000.

The ticket was purchased at the Circle K located at 1750 Brittain Road in Akron. The odds of winning the $1-million annuity prize are 1 in 840,000.

The overall odds of winning any prize in the 50th Anniversary Millions game are 1 in 3.97.

As of July 31, four $1-million annuity prizes remain unclaimed in the game, along with several other high-value prizes.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed over $33 billion to support education throughout the state. More information on Ohio Lottery games and their impact on education can be found at www.ohiolottery.com/supportingeducation.
