$1 million lottery ticket winner sold in Ohio

OHIO — A lucky Hamilton resident is celebrating a $50,000 win after playing the Ohio Lottery’s $1,000,000 Cashword scratch-off game.

The winning ticket was sold at Dixie Marathon, located at 2693 Dixie Highway in Hamilton.

After mandatory federal and state tax withholdings of 28 percent, the winner will take home $36,000.

The $1,000,000 Cashword is a $20 scratch-off ticket offering a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years.

As of July 24, 2025, one top prize remains unclaimed.
