
OHIO — A lucky lottery player in Hamilton has won a major prize after scratching off a ticket from the Ohio Lottery’s Billiongame.
The winner, who has not been publicly identified, won $50,000 a year for 20 years.
They chose the cash option of $500,000 and, after mandatory state and federal taxes totaling 28 percent, will take home $360,000.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Sunoco gas station located at 1275 Main Street in Hamilton.
Billion is a $50 scratch-off ticket with a top prize of $1 million a year for 20 years.
As of May 28, 2025, two top prizes remain unclaimed in the game.
