$1 million lottery ticket winner sold in Ohio

OHIO — A lucky Ohio Lottery player is celebrating a $1 million win after purchasing a VIP Millions scratch-off ticket.

The winning ticket was sold at More than a Convenient Mart, located at 666 Carnegie Ave in Akron.

The ticket holder opted for the $500,000 cash payout and will receive approximately $360,000 after federal and state tax withholdings.

VIP Millions is a $50 scratch-off game offering a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years.

As of March 31, there are still 41 top prizes remaining.
