$1 million lottery ticket winner sold in Ohio

OHIO — A lucky Ohio Lottery player has won the $1 million top prize on the VIP Millions scratch-off ticket.

The winning ticket was sold at Whipp Road Shell, located at 6001 Far Hills Avenue in Dayton.

The ticket holder opted for the lump sum cash payout of $500,000 and will receive approximately $360,000 after federal and state taxes.

The winner expressed excitement and gratitude, sharing plans to use the winnings to purchase a home and buy a car for each of their children.

VIP Millions is a $50 scratch-off game that offers a top prize of $40,000 per year for 25 years.

As of March 26, 42 top prizes remain.
